Guests frequently praise the Jungle House for its vibrant, plant-filled decor, exceptionally comfortable beds, and prime location close to amenities like Short North and Goodale Park. The hosts are highly rated for responsiveness and proactive communication. However, the property has received significant criticism for safety concerns regarding a specific alley location and misleading photos.

We loved staying at this property. It was perfect close proximity to Nationwide Arena. We slept so well in the beds and the decor was delightful. We had everything we needed for a great overnight stay and the hosts were easy to communicate with and was there for any question we had. We would definitely stay at this property again. Thank you so much for being such awesome hosts. ??

If you're looking to be central to hundreds of activities in the city, this is a perfect location. We walked everywhere we went. It's situated right next to Goodale Park, with easy access to the highway. The house is three floors and contains all of the extras you need to have an easy stay. Very comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We didn't encounter any issues, but the Jungle House staff stayed in communication during the process, so I knew we'd be able to reach someone if we did! We had a great time celebrating my daughter's 18th birthday ? Thank you Jungle House!

This was such a wonderful stay. All the plants gave it such a nice touch. Great location, walking distance to everything. Very clean and surprisingly quiet. Our host was amazing and super attentive. We will definitely be back.

They will be video. Per Ohio law you are not allowed to video anyone without notifying them, YOU FAILED TO DO SO!! Don't stay! Keep looking. The picture don't tell the truth, this house is old and falling apart, you can see through the floors. It is only has 1 full bath. No futon beds. You can see through the doors. Extremely cold. Do NOT stay here. I been asking for a refund for 2 weeks for the over charged of guest and parking and you are not responding? After reading other reviews it don't appear you have updated the profile and still have it listed as a hotel. Please refund my extra $230.00 ASAP! Then update your listing you the bad reviews stop. I want to see results, not just lip service that you keep providing!!! You are scamming people!

I’ve stayed at Jungle house most times while visiting Columbus the past 6 months. Each one of their properties has everything needed for an excellent stay. Most have been recently renovated, Nicely decorated, and all with super comfy beds. This particular location was a 5 min walk to Short North with endless dining choices. I’ve given up the hotels with 200 square foot rooms. Jungle house is The only place to stay in Columbus.

This listing is deeply misleading and I strongly regret staying here. While the photos and description suggest a desirable location near High Street and in Victorian Village, the reality is completely different. Do not be fooled into thinking you’ll be staying in a charming old building in Victorian Village. This unit is located in a trash-filled back alley, facing only the alley, and is part of an old townhome chopped into rental units, not a modern or thoughtfully renovated building. The nearby luxury apartments with penthouses and rooftop pools have nothing to do with this property. Just a few steps from the front door is an abandoned house with a stoop that appears to be a regular hangout for drunk men openly drinking and shooting up. This is not occasional — it’s constant. The alley is loud, chaotic, and feels unsafe, with people yelling, drinking, and wandering around until 4–5 a.m. most nights. From the balcony, I could clearly see prostitutes soliciting in the alley, and during my short stay I was personally offered sexual services twice. Do not ignore the multiple reviews mentioning the management company keeping deposits. I initially decided to move on since the amount was relatively small, but the follow-up behavior was still frustrating and unprofessional. Since then, the management company has made repeated marketing calls and texts, often late at night, encouraging me to return and stay there again. While not harassment, it was annoying and inappropriate, especially after I tried blocking the number. The photos are deceptive, the location is misrepresented, and the management company appears focused on making a quick buck with little regard for guest comfort or transparency. If you value sleep, safety, or honesty in a listing, stay far away from this property.

Absolutely amazing house and 5 star customer service! They were readily available via phone call/text/email throughout our stay, courteous and friendly and very helpful. We loved our bedrooms in the house (half of a duplex) we got for two nights. Extremely clean and well-maintained place. Also the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on in my life! Loved the location, we were on East Prescott Street in Columbus, Ohio, and it was a quiet little neighborhood, but walking distance to a lot of places and a very quick drive to everything we needed. Would 100% stay again, and very highly recommend!!

July 2025 I booked this phenomenal Airbnb for a short relaxation getaway for my fiancé’s birthday. The option to add a birthday package that included champagne, a small cake and a birthday banner certainly helped this place stand out for what I was looking for. The set up here is great. The place is super clean. The feel is inviting and cozy. Sergio is truly an amazing host. Checked in just once per day to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and to ask if anything was needed. Communication was quick and the booking, arrival and check out were seamless! The location is definitely as described… PRIME! Short walking distance to so many attractions. Perfect! The amenities are as described as well. Everything you need is right there for you. I can’t wait to come back to the Jungle! Thanks for such an amazing stay!

?Very easy process to check in; staff members were very friendly and fast to respond to you. I've stayed at the Jungle House of Chillicothe, upstairs, and the area was quiet and safe. The place was as seen in pictures, with a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and even towels.? ?The bedroom mattresses were very comfy. Great choice, team, because no matter how nice the house looks, if it's not comfy, it doesn't make the stay worthwhile.? ?The only negative thing—because I have to be honest with my followers—is that the living room sofas, as nice as they look, are not comfy to sit on for more than 5 to 10 minutes, to the point that I stayed in my bedroom for the whole 9 days. I contacted the team members, and they are working on changing the sofas.? ??Overall, it still deserves five stars, and I'm considering staying at this place every time I'm traveling to my job in Chillicothe. ?
