This hotel presents a stark dichotomy between its ideal location near an airport and reliable staff, and the generally poor condition of its facilities. Guests consistently criticize the interior for being dated, dirty, and in disrepair.
Honestly not bad, not sure if they updated everything but my room was cleaner than most hotels and it had a half decent breakfast and pool
We got a room with the jacuzzi in it.. This time the room was amazing, very big with a balcony that overlooked the indoor pool.. Apparently they have a few rooms with jacuzzi tubs in them, but the ones overlooking the pool are definitely much bigger and nicer then the regular rooms without the balcony... The staff is always very helpful, and polite...
DO NOT STAY HERE it’s not worth it. The outside appearance is nice. The hotel on the inside is very dated and old furniture. My room was horrible, look at the pictures. The paint was peeling, the walls were cracked, the shower head and along the top of the tub had black mold, inside the tub it looked like they had never cleaned it so it was stained. The carpet was torn, the faucet in the tub and sink was old. The only good part about the stay was the Dove soap. ? You asked why I stayed because it was pouring rain, visibility was zero and the airport was within walking distance. BEWARE
Hallway was extremely dirty. Went to check out ice machine in evening and there was a pile of blankets stacked in corner. Room itself had a deadbolt that wasn't lined up correctly, a bathroom door that wouldn't close, and air unit that smelled awful. Tub and floor in bath was dirty as well. Update***woke at 3am to use the restroom and found a large cockroach crawling on the wall. No discount, no refund, and now we are sleeping in the truck.
This place was the most disgusting place I've ever gone to first room. They put me in, had no running water. The room stunk, the uh sheets and yes, lamp covers had blood on them. The second room they put me in smelled. Like sewage, the drains would not drain. It was the most nastiest place in the entire. World i will never go back. And I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. And for whoever is the person who's in charge of hotels, this place is disgusting. Do not go there
This hotel should not cost as much as it does. The location near the Rickenbacker Airport is the only reason to even consider staying there. The hotel manager was courteous. That is where the good parts of this hotel end. The hotel room had furniture that was so old the fabric had worn through to the wood frame. The wallpaper was split and worn. The lamps were missing shades and lightbulbs. The carpet was dirty and thread-bare. The smell throughout the hotel was of strong curry, body order, and marijuana. The room smelled of mildew. I stayed here with my family for one night so we could attend the Columbus Air Show on 23 August 2025. That was the only reason I did not decide to leave immediately once I saw the condition of the room. I will not stay here again, EVER. And I will strongly discourage ANYONE from staying at this hotel.
Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The first room we were given had no running water due to a broken tap and smelled strongly of mold. The hallways throughout the hotel also reeked of smoke, which made the environment unpleasant from the start. The elevator felt unsafe and poorly maintained. We requested a new room, but the second one was only marginally better. The toilet seat was broken, the main light did not work, and the room felt neglected. On top of that, when we called ahead, we were quoted $110 per night, but upon arrival the price was suddenly $125. This lack of transparency added to the frustration. The most unprofessional moment came on the morning of checkout. Before we were even finished in the room, six staff members stood outside our door, and shortly after, they began yelling at us from a window claiming we had forgotten belongings—even though we had clearly told them we were not done. Overall, the experience was unprofessional, poorly managed, and not worth the money.
I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. From the moment I entered, the lobby had an unpleasant odor, and the carpets looked dirty and worn. The overall cleanliness was lacking throughout the property. The room itself was unacceptable. It smelled strongly (like a zoo), there was a visible crack in the wall, and one lamp was missing both its bulb and lampshade. The bedding did not feel clean, which made it impossible to get a comfortable night’s rest. We cut our trip short from 2 nights to 1 because of the hotel room The staff was nice but that does not make up for all the shortcomings With the Wyndham name attached, we did not expect this kind of experience. The hotel should not carry the wind of name, because this hotel does not adequately represent the Wyndham name and brand Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet even basic standards of cleanliness or comfort. I cannot recommend staying here.
Rooms were ok. Breakfast was some REALLY small sausage biscuit and some gravy. No eggs. Location about 10 miles from Columbus and next to the airport but was quiet. Their pool was open.
This is a run down franchised hotel dated back to the early 90s. NO SMART TVs! Forget streaming. They tried to give me a room with two lamps that were broken and didn’t work so all I had for lighting was the bathroom overhead that nobody would be able to sleep through. On top of that the clerk said that he couldn’t replace the lamps because it was a maintenance issue that he couldn’t replace not take care of. The dessers were broken and falling apart in the multiple rooms we got shuffled through. We spent less than 24hrs in hell and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY DEPOSIT BACK! Why? My dog didn’t do anything in the room but lay on one of the beds. Not pet friendly, sad sad sad breakfast (tiny microwaved dry biscuit sliders) and you can’t bring your food to your room to eat in some sort of peace unless you pay $25 for each plate you bring to your room. I am absolutely appalled at this hotel’s policies. Maybe it’s because it’s located in the middle of nowhere and they have to squeeze every penny they can out every unsuspecting guest that gets stuck there. DO NOT TRUST THE PICTURES! Modern day prices for a vintage stay. Could not get out of there fast enough and never to stay in any Baymont by Wyndham again!
