Guests consistently praise the spacious, comfortably furnished rooms and the prime location near Polaris Fashion Place, but the experience is heavily polarized by conflicting reports. Recent guests report serious issues with car break-ins, property management, and room cleanliness, creating a split opinion on the hotel's overall safety and standards.
Clean and comfortable rooms. Large and no problems. Typical nasty hotel breakfast but really not that bad. I will definitely be staying again.
We travel to Columbus, Ohio occasionally and this Residence Inn is our go to place. It is conveniently located at Polaris Fashion Place. (If you've never been to Polaris, that is a whole different topic.) It's not far from the Columbus Zoo, Ohio State University, Westerville, and much more. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and quiet. They have a breakfast that is absolutely awesome! Unfortunately, they had some recent issues with car break-ins, so now they add $10/day to cover the security. We had no issues, so I feel like it was $10/day well spent. We will definitely return to this Residence Inn the next time we go to Columbus.
Great room. Free breakfast, gym, pool. Room service sucked though. They'd bring my towels, but never refilled my soap or anything else. It's like they make your bed, replace your towels and that's it. But besides that, great hotel.
I would avoid this Marriott property. The General Manager, Kim Black, does not follow Marriott protocols and has the poorest customer service I have recently experienced. There was a clarification required on the reservation and it was cancelled by Kim Black, the General Manager, rather than contacting me. I arrived to a cancelled reservation. When asked why I wasn’t contacted prior to the cancellation, it was stated that they were “not required to contact” me. Contacting a customer apparently requires too much effort. If you have any issues, they, “are not required,” to assist you. Too many other Marriott properties or other chains close by to perform this poorly. When you call, ask if Kim Black is the General Manager. If so, my advice would be to stay somewhere else.
Excellent clean rooms. Front desk and housekeeping are very nice and accommodating! Great location with lots of food options around. Great value!
As stated in several other reviews this hotel has virtually no security and as a result multiple cars were broken into last night. While the rooms are nice, I would avoid at all costs given the risk of damage to or theft of your vehicle. I feel for the staff as they are nice but management is clearly incompetent as there are no cameras and no security operations of any kind here. Hilton or other hotels in the area are much more professionally maintained.
This was our first stay at this location, but recommended by my brother. It was a nice room! The staff was friendly and helpful for questions about the area. We were on town for a buckeye game, and it's great that we got to the hotel in less than 20 minutes. And it wasn't for to get to campus either. A great hotel to consider for a stay, with a bonus of a great mall right behind it. Thank you Marriott!
Lovely and friendly people. Room are spacious. Soft pillows. Great mattress. Breakfast selection is very good. Cozy fireplace downstairs and fire pit outside that you can sit around with barbecue area.
The hotel overall was sufficient, but my first room had a cockroach in the bathroom, the second room had an unmade bed and the third room was fine but not very clean. Considering this is a newish hotel, I was suprised and would not stay there again.
This was the worst stay I have had with a Marriott hotel. Internet didn't work in room to connect to computer and TV streaming had no internet. Spoke to front desk 3 times during 2 night stay and they kept telling me they would file a ticket and maintenance would take care of it. Same guy cleaning the floors came up twice and tried to fix with no results.
