This property presents a stark contradiction: suitable for business travelers seeking affordability and comfort, but potentially hazardous for families or those sensitive to noise. It features dated facilities that frequently require renovation and suffers from significant security lapses regarding vehicle break-ins.
There are multiple problems with this property. Yes, it's older and has changed brands a couple of times but that's no excuse. There is visible...unrepaired water damage to the interior roof and walls as well as debris on the floor (I've stayed here a few times over the last 2 and one half years and it's still there and unrepaired); the ice machine on the third floor is STILL inoperative; I got ice from the second floor machine, and it had black stuff on/in the ice. I wouldn't recommend using the ice for anything except a cooler; the WiFi is weak; the pavement in the parking lot is ragged and broken; there's animal poop on the sidewalks that never gets washed off unless it rains. There is no...zero...on-site security, hell I've never seen a police car cruise through. There's another "budget" property right beside this one that shows neglect and apathy to the property's maintenance. I've interacted with multiple desk associates with varying degrees of satisfaction. There is one in particular - that I won't name - that either has no clue about how hotels operate or just doesn't care. I wanted to extend my stay by a day..."We don't extend, you have to check out and check back in again" ... of course you can extend, you just have to give a damn enough to do it. [The guy I saw the next morning took all of two minutes to not only extend the stay but advise me of the change in rate, make new key cards, and comp my breakfast.] When I checked in, the Bistro restaurant/bar was closed. I asked what time it would open; the reply: "IF it opens, I don't know". It did eventually open, I stood at the bar for 3-5 minutes in the hopes of getting some dinner and a drink, never saw an attendant, much less get served; walked away, went to Waffle House next door, and didn't go back again. I've NEVER seen this location really busy or full and you have to wonder why. For a Marriott branded property, this one is a letdown and is in need of a complete, top down renovation.
First thing we noticed was our room smell like smoke. Our refrigerator was so small you couldn’t put any food in the fridge. Smallest refrigerator I ever seen. Tv remote did not work. Smoke detectors was coved up with tape so it couldn’t work. Beds were nice. Lady at desk acted like it was an inconvenience to talk to me. Over all very disappointed in this hotel. Bathroom shower had no hot water!
MULTIPLE VEHICLES BROKEN INTO! Parked along a main road in front of security cameras and vehicle got broken into along with Several others all in the front of the hotel. No call from staff, police, no one informed us of anything. Found out the next morning when we found the windows shattered and a report number from police on the vehicle. You think hotel would inform us. No care at all so it must happen often. Wonder how people are able to break into almost every vehicle parked in the front of a hotel with security cameras on that are supposedly “very clear” (according to one of the hotel staff) and just get away? Makes you wonder… also The only food/coffee place in the hotel had closed sign the entire time. Water leaks/damage throughout the hotel and cigarette odor in some of the floors. Do yourself a favor and stay ANYWHERE ELSE.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! NEGATIVE STARS! There is water damage all over the ceilings on every floor. The pool area roof was leaking while it was raining. Drunk/high guests on the first floor by the pool, were making it unsafe for children to be in the pool. Over 30 cars got broken in to at this hotel and the hotel next door. This happens all the time here from what they said at the front desk, they dont do anything about it. They allow this to happen. DO NOT EVER STAY HERE! If I could give this negative stars I would.
Next to highway. Room was on floor that all you could smell is cigarettes. Fan _ heat on and off every 30 seconds. Room stuffy. Got a sorry but no inconvenience return or credit..
This hotel does not live up to the courtyard or Marriott brand. I am a Titanium elite member and stayed here as a requirement for one of my daughters volleyball tournament and I could not believe this was a courtyard. The hotel is very old and the rooms are showing significant wear. We could hear neighboring rooms and door slamming through the night. I’ve stayed at enough hotels to know that most of the noise we heard is not present in quality built hotels. Marriott really needs to hold a higher standard for the courtyard brand. There must also be security issues because I noticed a chain and padlock on one of the exit doors. This has to be a fire hazard.
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. I stayed because there was a weekend conference in their conference rooms. The staff was incredibly welcoming. I brought my service dog, and they treated him with utmost care, even attending to his needs with pup cups and peanut butter. The food and coffee were excellent. Overall, the hotel was clean and had a great staff.
The hotel is located far from everything. The only food nearby is Waffle House. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is pleasant and welcoming. A good hot breakfast. Free parking, swimming pool, gym, small shop
i always have a pleasant stay when i’m in town. i love that it’s older. it’s put together well so you don’t hear the people walking above you.. it’s always clean and most of the staff is wonderful. the pool is nice and big, we always have a comfortable stay here. and this weekend my daughter left her shoes and we didn’t realize it til well after we left and they were thankfully able to retrieve them for us. definitely recommend!
This was a horrible experience. I went there for a softball tournament and I came into my room and I already knew that this would be disgusting. It smelled musty and it was wet. I was greeted by mold all over the floor. And the sheets were soaking wet. There were ants in the shower and spiders. The sink was full of black water. And the smell the smell is something that I will never forget it was horrendous. I would never wish this hotel on my worst enemy. Will not be returning. Do not recommend.
